Realistic Harvesting V1.6.4.3

Realistic Harvesting V1.6.4.3

Realistic Harvesting for FS25 makes harvesting react to what is happening in the crop. Crop density, cutting width, moisture, machine horsepower, engine load, and mechanical calibration all matter. You can use it with grain combines, forage harvesters, root and vegetable harvesters, cotton, and sugarcane.

Features

  • Physics-Based Engine Load & Speed: Your ground speed changes with harvested crop mass (t/h), header width, and vehicle horsepower. Push the engine too hard or use the wrong settings, and real grain loss follows.
  • All Machine Types Supported: The physics are fully calibrated for Grain Combines, Forage Harvesters (chaff/silage), Root & Vegetable Harvesters (potatoes, beets, carrots, parsnips, spinach, peas), Cotton, and Sugarcane.
  • Interactive Combine Calibration: Open calibration with RShift + K and set Rotor/Drum RPM, Concave Clearance, Fan Speed, and Sieves for each crop. Get the settings right for maximum yield and minimum loss.
  • Workshop Upgrade Packages (Tiers 1-4): Upgrade your combine straight from the shop.
  • Level 1 (Standard): Everything is operated fully manually.
  • Level 2 (Sensor Kit): Calibration guidance appears with low / optimal / high hints.
  • Level 3 (Yield Monitor): You get real-time yield (t/ha, bu/ac), area rate (ha/h), and moisture telemetry.
  • Level 4 (Opti-Harvest AI): The settings calibrate automatically, and speed management is automated too.
  • AI & Courseplay Compatibility: AI helpers and Courseplay workers automatically use your saved profiles or optimal calibrations.
  • Draggable HUD: Move the on-screen display wherever you want to see live Engine Load, Productivity (t/h, ha/h), Crop Loss %, and Moisture.
  • Global Crop Profiles: Tune a favorite setup once. The profiles then load automatically across your combines and savegames.
  • 3 Difficulty Modes (ESC Settings): Pick Arcade (relaxed), Normal (balanced), or Realistic (strict physical limits and penalties).

Discord & Suggestions:

V1.6.4.3

  • Direct Grain Tank Intake Scaling: At the bunker intake, speed overload, calibration mismatch, slope, and moisture now directly scale crop losses. The old post-tick fill level deductions are completely gone, capacity counter jitter is prevented, and the harvester can fill neatly to 100.0% without a false early full-tank stop.
  • Dynamic Engine Power & Tuning Support: Speed governing and load balance read live peak power, power multipliers, and powertrain configurations from the active motor instance. That lets the system adapt automatically to custom engine upgrades and chip tuning.
  • Fixed Attachment Runtime Error: A fatal arithmetic crash, attempt to perform arithmetic on nil value, could happen while lifting or lowering headers on custom harvester configurations. It is resolved, so frame updates and normal cylinder animation speeds work again.
  • Fixed Manual Driving Telemetry Stall: When you drove manually, engine load, crop throughput, and speed limits could stay at zero even though automated helpers worked. That manual-driving issue is resolved.
  • Improved Header Lowering Detection: Implement checks now give priority to the native engine lowering state and safe joint descriptor validation. Headers with rigid mounts or custom attacher controllers no longer create false disengagements.
  • Road Transit Work Mode Protection: Foldable header transport lock verification is stronger now, stopping involuntary thresher activation or header lowering during road transit and automated waypoint transport.
  • Optimized for Low-Horsepower Harvesters (<escape><</escape> 160 HP): The speed governor floor is now 1.8 km/h. Compact and vintage harvesters can crawl through dense, high-yielding crops sustainably without engine overload or severe crop loss spikes.
  • Low-power harvesters resolve engine horsepower early, so a field pass starts at a gentle 3.5 km/h entry speed instead of the standard 5.5 km/h.
  • Controller deadbands scale with crawl speed, down to 0.08 – 0.10 km/h. This gives you smooth acceleration toward the target 80% engine load instead of locking the machine into underloaded speeds.
  • Cleaned Telemetry Logging: Repetitive audio sample initialization notices during shop vehicle customization are suppressed, and savegame restoration messages are shortened to compact single-line summaries.

V1.6.4.1

  • FIXED: Harvester calibration hotkeys (Shift+K), HUD toggle (Shift+H), and Harvest Diary (Shift+J) respond when attached implements (headers/cutters) are selected in the vehicle tool chain through native interaction and activation flags.
  • FIXED: Modular harvesters and system carriers (NEXAT / NEXCO) now receive the correct threshing system classification. The NEXCO combine module is shown as Axial Rotor rather than falling back to straw walkers.
  • FIXED: Modular multi-vehicle and gantry harvesting platforms now have live harvest telemetry, speed regulation, and header lowering detection when their cutters are mounted to the motorized carrier rather than directly to the threshing module.
  • IMPROVED: Automatic combine classification now covers more modded and serial grain harvesters, including Torum, Gleaner, Tribine, New Holland CH Crossover, Case IH AF series, and classic conventional harvesters.
  • IMPROVED: Modded combines without standard animation tags receive deep 3D model node inspection (i3dMappings). Machines with physical rotor or axial components can then be identified reliably.
  • FIXED: Switching combines, for example from Tier 4 to Tier 1, no longer keeps the calibration terminal (Shift+K) tied to the previous machine or falsely displays Tier 4 settings.
  • FIXED: On modular carrier harvesters, Shift+K no longer fails to open when an attached header/cutter implement is selected.
  • REMOVED: Grain Threshing Subtypes. The walker, rotor, and hybrid divisions have been removed, bringing all conventional grain harvesters together under one "grain" standard.
  • REASON FOR REMOVAL: Fragile name-matching lists and complex XML animation node lookups often failed on modded combines. The results were false classifications, XML callstack warnings, and inconsistent power balance. One robust grain combine model guarantees 100% stability across all vanilla and modded harvesters, while forage, root crop, and specialty harvesters are unaffected.

V1.6.4.0

  • New Features, Threshing Mechanism Classification System: In rhm_Combine.lua, an automated classification engine sorts harvesters into 6 mechanical categories from vehicle XML data, wheel count, and chassis dimensions.
  • STRAW WALKER, conventional straw walker combines.
  • AXIAL ROTOR, single and dual longitudinal rotor systems.
  • HYBRID APS, accelerator pre-separation cylinder with twin separation rotors.
  • FORAGE CHOPPER, precision-chop drum and accelerator systems.
  • ROOT HARVESTER, lifting shares, sieving webs, and cleaning rollers.
  • SPECIALTY, cotton, sugarcane, grape, and olive harvesters.
  • The Shift+K calibration terminal header now includes a real-time Threshing System Indicator badge.
  • The public API endpoint RHM_Api.getThreshingType(vehicle) is now available.
  • Localized naming is included across all 27 language files (translations/l10n_*.xml).
  • 3-Way HUD Work Rate & Productivity Monitoring: You can click-cycle through options in Yield Monitor HUD Cell 7 (expanded layout) and Cell 4 (compact layout).
  • The cycle is: Processed Area (ha / ac) <-> Instantaneous Work Rate (ha/h / ac/h) <-> Session Average Work Rate (ha/h / ac/h).
  • Session average work rate telemetry has been added to th
